Ferretti Group exclusively adopts WATCHIT SENSE 360, the new AI and radar collision-avoidance system

Forlì, 23rd September 2026 — Four years after introducing WATCHIT, the anti-collision system that marked a turning point for safety at sea, Ferretti Group announces its exclusive adoption of WATCHIT SENSE 360, the new generation of the system developed by Aqua Marina Tech, an Israeli company specialising in life-saving technology for the marine industry.

The first generation of WATCHIT cross-referenced digital charts with position and course data, while the later integration of AIS (Automatic Identification System) extended awareness to surrounding maritime traffic. WATCHIT SENSE 360 now adds a third level of protection: radar detection. Integrated with the Simrad multifunction displays and HALO radar systems already on board, it detects vessels, buoys, floating objects and obstacles that AIS alone would miss, such as boats without on-board equipment or with their AIS switched off, providing complete 360° awareness around the yacht.

Advanced software continuously assesses the level of risk and issues clear, timely visual and audible alerts only when a genuine hazard arises, running in the background without distracting the skipper or crew. Designed specifically for cruising yachts, it adapts automatically to any conditions, whether in open sea, congested waters, harbour areas or at anchor, with no mode changes or manual adjustments required.
